Kompass is a deliberately lean consultancy. We take on senior public sector work without the overheads, the bench of junior consultants, or the pressure to sell more than you need.

For most projects, that means deploying a single expert, or bringing together a small, hand-picked team of experienced people. To do that well, we work with a trusted network of independent associates and smaller consultancies: people we’d be glad to have in the room on a difficult project, whose skills complement our own. It keeps the costs sensible, and the team right for each piece of work.

Who we’d love to hear from

Independent consultants and associates — experienced people who know the public sector from the inside and can lead or deliver a workstream in their own right, not learn on the client’s time.

Smaller consultancies and specialists — teams doing excellent work in a particular niche who are open to partnering on specific projects, whether that means bringing us in or bringing us along.
